Laughter and stillness

Hello,

I hope this email finds you well?

Recently I listened to an interesting interview with a man who is a big advocate of the benefits of laughing! Norman Cousins paved the way for laughter therapy to be taken seriously when he cured himself of a serious condition by watching many hours of comedy. Since then much research has been done regarding the chemical effects that laughter has on the body. Amongst other things, laughter reduces stress, releases endorphins – the body’s natural painkillers and boosts the immune system significantly by raising the level of infection fighting T-cells. As a side note it was also noted that if you can laugh at an issue it loses it’s emotional hold and also has the profound effect of bringing you into the now.

Taking the time to laugh and be still are two wonderful tonics for alleviating the stresses of daily life.

Being still can be achieved through meditation and deep relaxation states that are equally important to keep your immune system strong. During energy healing sessions people often report going into a pre sleep state, which puts the body in an optimum condition for healing to take place and is the equivalent to a powerful meditation.

Having regular energy healing sessions brings a stillness and sense of quiet to the mind and body that allows you to approach work and home from a much calmer perspective. It also raises your energy which has a positive general effect on other areas of your life too.

We spend much of our time giving to others and it will always serve you greatly to remember to give to yourself too.

To experience the benefit and simplicity of stillness book an appointment at reception or call 0207 920 6200.

Best wishes,
Karina
